It’s not everyday that you remodel your kitchen, and in my opinion – there is no point in completely remodeling if you are going to be extremely budget conscious. At least, you should be able to get some of the many expensive features you’ve set your eyes on. Here are a few examples of kitchen remodeling I think are worth the price.
Granite Sinks And Countertops
Not only is granite highly durable, it is a material that makes every kitchen unique. After reading franke granite sink reviews online, I was convinced that I must look into it. I have not regretted the purchase ever, because it gave my lovely kitchen island a stunning aesthetic and it is very easy to clean. This is not a fad that shows any sign of going away – I think granite will remain popular for a long time to come.
A Pot Filler
Although this seems like a small and insignificant part of your kitchen, I cannot recommend it enough. After years spent lugging around a heavy pot full of water, or going back and forth to the sink in order to fill a pot, I decided I needed to get a pot filler when I remodeled my kitchen. This is nothing but a simple faucet the is above your stove top and can be used to fill your pots and pans with water then and there.
Convection Oven And Induction Stovetop
When it comes to ovens, the convection setting is the only way I have ever been able to get unifor color on my roasts, cookies, and bread. The heat is evenly distributed and makes that fan well worth the extra price. As for induction stovetops – I truly believe they are the safer option for all households. Also, because an induction stovetop directly heats the pan and very little heat is lost to the surroundings, it is much more energy efficient. Last but not least, an induction stovetop means your kitchen doesn’t need to feel like a furnace during the summer, so you can cook up a batch of beans without boiling yourself too.
A Kitchen Island
This is not news by any measure – but kitchen islands provide a lot more space in your kitchen and make it a lot easier for you to prepare large meals whenever you want. My kitchen island is also used as a place for informal meals, as well as a place to have coffee with friends, or by myself. You can easily entertain while you cook if you have a kitchen island, so I believe it is important.
Downdraft Vent
This is a vent that is built into your stove top, to pull away any steam or smoke instantly. This helps keep the kitchen odors out of your house (and your hair) – because we all know that garlic and onion hair isn’t easy to freshen up. This is a more efficient system than an overhead vent, because it is built right into your stovetop and thus can get more of the smoke/steam away.
