There are many types of cloud computing platforms to choose from, and depending on your business needs, you can select the ones that best work for you. More prominent companies do not have the same; IT needs as smaller enterprises who may not even know how to make a server.

With cloud technology, you need not worry about server issues. Once you are on the cloud, you can quickly scale up or down your preferred platform according to your data volume or nature. All your server requirements are taken care of by the servers provided.

Some of the commonly used types of cloud computing to choose from include; on-premise, dedicated hosting, hybrid hosting, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)

  1. On-Premise

An on-premise cloud computing refers to cloud-based software that is hosted on your servers and accessed through a web browser. Most frameworks or infrastructure are more cloud-friendly, and this enables the cloud software to be installed on your company’s computers and servers locally.  This type of cloud computing allows you to subscribe to cloud services through the internet while all of the server activity occurs on your site. That gives you more personalized security options for your data.

Security – Encryption options, region configurations, and other data protection tools guarantee security for both ends, and you do not have to surrender control over your infrastructure.

  1. Dedicated Hosting

Dedicated hosting is also known as a private cloud. This type of cloud computing offers you a server specifically for your needs and is mostly used for hosting a website. Though this type of cloud computing is more costly than shared hosting, with dedicated hosting, you enjoy the faster run time, data security, control, and email stability.

Fast Run Time – Dedicated hosting enables you to run your data faster since other websites share your server.

Data Security – You are the only one granted access to this server so you can be sure that your data and information is safe.

Control – Dedicated hosting gives you options to enable you to configure your settings to suit your specifications.

Email Stability – When you choose to use dedicated hosting, you need not worry about spammers or about your server being blacklisted because of sending spam mail. Your server is secure because you are the only one who gets access to it.

  1. Hybrid Hosting

Hybrid hosting means you have both a dedicated and shared cloud, and it is also referred to as a hybrid cloud. The dedicated cloud is used for your most security-sensitive data while the rest of the data is made available on the shared cloud for third-party access. Hybrid hosting is flexible and cost-effective.

Flexible – Hybrid hosting enables you to move from data from a dedicated cloud to a shared cloud once it is no longer considered security-sensitive.

Cost-Effective – You need not get a big dedicated cloud, which is more costly for data that is not security-sensitive. You only gain a smaller capacity to use only when a need arises, while the rest of your data and information is stored and disseminated on the shared cloud.

  1. Software-As-A-Service (SaaS)

In SaaS cloud computing, servers providers host applications that you can access over a network, most commonly the internet. When you choose SaaS cloud computing, you get a variety of software services made available for your business; such as auto-updates, accessibility,

Auto-Updates – This means that all the software you use is automatically updated, and any time your software will always be up to date. It is compatible and enables all users to have one version of the software at all times.

Accessibility – You can easily access SaaS cloud computing from anywhere in the world as you have the correct user interface.

  1. Platform-As-A-Service (PaaS)

PaaS cloud computing means that you rent hardware, operating systems, storage, and network capacity over the internet. Programmers and developers commonly use PaaS because testing and developing new software is made easier on this platform.  PaaS cloud computing is cost-effective, accessible, and flexible.

Cost-Effective – PaaS cloud computing offers you a shared infrastructure, which means that as a company, you don’t have to own individual storage centers, servers, and other hardware that can be found on the PaaS platform. When you choose to use PaaS, you save on infrastructure costs.

Accessibility – PasS allows multiple developers from any location to work on the same project without conflicting. Since each developer runs on an individual operating system, you can comfortably benefit from different resources from PaaS from virtually anywhere.

Conclusion

Cloud computing offers you unlimited storage space for your data, information, and applications and makes it easy for you to scale up/down to meet your IT requirements. Cloud computing offers you unusual solutions to your Information Technology needs.
